Receive God’s gift of the future. If we needed an idea to give us hope today, this is it. Though our human vision doesn’t penetrate what appears to be murky, our God promises us good things.
Despite what common consensus claims, the world isn’t ending in the next five minutes. When that instant comes, God will make sure none of us mistake its reality.
In the meantime, receive God’s gift of the future.
Future joined the English language as an adjective about a century before it was used as a noun. Interestingly, it describes conditions that are to be; specifically, existing after death. Do you see how even a secular definition can hint at the truth that there is eternal life?

The dream is true…
As a noun, the definition of future not only includes the ideas of a time to come, what’s going to happen, and an expectation of advancement or progressive development, but also this interesting phrase: something bought for future acceptance. Could it be that believers, bought by the blood of Christ, are a future in the noun sense for God?
Receive God’s gift of the future, and be part of it.
“…the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed, nor will it be left to another people. It will crush all those kingdoms and bring them to an end, but it will itself endure forever. This is the meaning of the vision of the rock cut out of a mountain, but not by human hands—a rock that broke the iron, the bronze, the clay, the silver and the gold to pieces. The great God has shown the king what will take place in the future. The dream is true, and the interpretation is trustworthy.”
