Heidi’s Proofreading Credentials:
Heidi Kortman has a B.A. in English from Calvin College.
She worked for Baker Book House (now Baker Books) from 1985-1989 as a freelance proofreader. During her time at Baker, Heidi proofread 213 nonfiction books over the course of five years. Now she offers her services as a professional proofreader to authors in the general market.
Heidi also is an accomplished public speaker.
She has been a member of Toastmasters International since 2008. Under the previous Toastmasters structure, Heidi served in three club officer roles, competed in speech and evaluation contests, and achieved the rank of Distinguished Toastmaster, a status only surpassed by Accredited Speaker.
She is also a Scripture reader during services at her church and facilitates a Women’s Bible Study group.
She offers her services as a public speaker to audiences at churches, civic groups, and organizations.
