What is it about Author Heidi Kortman that makes her so special?

When a two-year-old on her mother’s lap points to a newspaper page and says, “Look, Mom, that says Kroger,” it’s a good bet that words, reading, and books will be a huge part of her life. Heidi discovered early in her writing career that there isn’t much market for song lyrics about housework.

Then, she quickly moved on to other forms of poetry and descriptive essays.

Her published devotionals and poetry appear in Breaking Barriers, Disability Concerns, Christian Reformed Church in North America, a devotional in One Year Life Verse Devotional, Tyndale October 2007, and a short story in Harpstring, vol. 1, issue 2 Written World Communications. She also writes flash fiction on AvenirEclectia.com. These days, she’s an aspiring novelist.

Heidi is also a CWG Apprentice graduate. She has been an ACFW member since 2004 and is also an active member of Toastmasters International.

Heidi is also working on a series of contemporary/romantic fiction set in 2000, with characters who enjoy sailing wooden sailboats, playing Celtic music and reading books.

Heidi, I tried to send you a mobi file but my email server told me your address was invalid. The one I used was a hotmail address. I also sent you a message on Facebook. Do you have another address you can give me? Thanks. 🙂

There are many ways of preaching the gospel ( Mark 16:15), in promoting the knowledge of and salvation by Christ, the knowledge of truth and lifting the veil on darkness to set people free. All genres by Christians can do that. May you be empowered by the Holy Spirit in your literary travels forward.

Oh, Caz, What a surprise! I’m so glad you stopped by to comment. Things are fine with me. I’m now an aunt to ten and great-aunt to two, with a third on the way. I’m on Facebook, if you do things there. Would you believe I still have the “Ellen” stories?
