This Thursday’s Thanks: A Short List
This Thursday, I’m thankful that the repaired roof of my apartment building no longer leaks.
Delivery drivers braved yesterday’s weather to bring me lightbulbs for my desk lamp, and I’m thankful.
I’m thankful for writing friends to celebrate their progress and new contracts with.
I’m thankful for God’s providential care that I have already experienced and will experience in the future.

    Heidi, your keen awareness of things others fail to see the significance of never ceases to amaze me. I marvel at it when I read your novels, short stories, poetry, and now, your blog. You inspire…and remind…me to do better at this myself. So…
    I’m thankful for Hubby taking the garbage out as he left this morning in the pouring rain. I’m thankful for the technology I cannot begin to really understand which allows me, with just a few clicks here and there, to be connected to my friend a few blocks away, my sister in the next state, you several states away, and others world-wide. And, I’m very thankful for the wonderful cup of coffee I’m enjoying as I utilize said technology this morning!

    Heidi, you are challenging me today to give thanks! I am thankful we have a God in Heaven who watches over us; for the change in seasons so evident today; for family and friends to love and encourage; and for the means to enjoy the simple things in life.
